قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ (1)

(Muhammad), say, "I seek protection from the Cherisher of mankind,

مَلِكِ النَّاسِ (2)

the King of mankind,

إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ (3)

the Lord of mankind

مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ (4)

against the evil of the temptations of the satans,

الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ (5)

of jinn and human beings

مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ (6)

who induce temptation into the hearts of mankind.
